Good: Translation improvedBad: Poor quality of the book itself resulted in a page falling out immediatelyThe translation is much improved over my complaints from volume 1. I did not see many obvious mistakes and some issues were corrected from volume 1, notably Metako's dialogue.Shamiko's catchphrase was corrected to the more familiar form when appropriate at the end, but is not consistently the same throughout the volume and has a bigger impact if it was the same throughout.Glad to see some improvements to the translation to better recommend this book. The page falling out is worrying, so I am not sure I would recommend it at the moment until that is resolved. A manga I was looking forward to for some time, and it looks like volume two did try translate things a bit better, but the hang over from the translation issues in volume one still haunt this manga. Whether it was basic errors like translating "4000 to 5000 years" as "45,000 years", rewriting lines like changing both Shamiko and Metakos catchphrases in a way that won't make sense later in the story, or trying to rewrite what they think are pointless jokes like but actually do come back in ways you don't expect later on, except you really won't get that if you rewrite them, like the donut pillow thing, it just feels like they started translating this manga without reading ahead at all, so some of their small rewrites will cause issues later. Well most issues you probably won't notice unless you read the originals, but you will miss out on some foreshadowing for later. Also translating Shamiko's catchphrase two different ways will just make it seem kinda inconsistent later on, and in general changing Shamiko's iconic catchphrase really is an odd choice.I can only hope they eventually go back and try to fix up volume one, maybe put a bit more effort into this manga. Although it looks like volume two is a small step in the right direction. Really just makes me wish I could support this manga more if not for the various translation issues.
